Fire Risk Assessment
Comprehensive fire risk assessments for all premises types across Liverpool and Merseyside. Commercial to PAS 79-1:2020, residential to BS 9792:2025. Certified assessors, written reports in 1-3 working days.
The fundamentals
A fire risk assessment is a structured, systematic examination of your premises to identify fire hazards, evaluate the risk to the people who occupy the building and determine whether existing fire precautions are adequate.
It is the foundation of every fire safety management system and the starting point for legal compliance. Under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, virtually all non-domestic premises in England and Wales must have a suitable and sufficient assessment carried out by a competent person. For multi-occupied residential buildings, the Fire Safety Act 2021 extended these requirements to structure, external walls and flat entrance doors.
Our assessments follow PAS 79-1:2020 for commercial and non-domestic premises and BS 9792:2025 for residential buildings, the industry-recognised benchmarks for quality and consistency. Every report is comprehensive, photographic and built around a clear prioritised action plan you can use immediately.

Learn about our BAFE SP205 certificationWhy it matters
A fire risk assessment is not a box-ticking exercise. It is the mechanism through which a building's Responsible Person identifies real risks, implements appropriate precautions and demonstrates due diligence. Without a current, compliant assessment, a business owner or landlord faces serious legal exposure in the event of a fire.
Fire and Rescue Authorities carry out routine audits and can request to see assessments at any time. Non-compliance is a criminal offence that can result in unlimited fines, prohibition notices preventing the use of a building and in serious cases prosecution and imprisonment. Beyond compliance, a thorough assessment gives owners the information to make premises genuinely safer and satisfies the due diligence requirements of insurers and lenders.
